Solar panels, a sustainable, clean and environmentally friendly source of energy

At ITC we are working to continue to be a quality brand that is aware and responsible towards the environment and people. We believe in the fundamental role of businesses in driving a healthier environment and generating a positive impact on the planet.

For this reason, we have taken an important step in our commitment to the environment by installing photovoltaic solar panels in our facilities, allowing us to produce more ecological energy from sustainable sources.

What is our impact on the planet?

The implementation of solar panels took place in 2022. Since then, by using solar energy, we have been able to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a greener future.

The photovoltaic installation has a peak power of 27 kWp and is connected under a self-consumption scheme.

Specifically, our installation has 60 LONGi modules of 450 Wp in 4 strings and occupies 130.44 m2 of surface area. These panels prevent more than 6 tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to planting 150 trees.

Additionally, their electrical production is up to 13,500 kWh annually. These data are a testament to our purpose: to continually improve our impact on the planet.

The use of renewable energy, an important part of our sustainability strategy

This initiative, powered by solar energy, uses a technology that allows the energy from the sun to be harnessed to generate electricity. The moment sunlight hits the photovoltaic cells of the panel, photons are responsible for releasing electrons and creating an electrical current that is converted into renewable energy.

In this way, at ITC, we achieve a sustainable and clean source of energy and contribute to our transition towards renewable energy.

At ITC, we are committed to continuously improving and making our practices more sustainable. The installation of solar panels is just one step towards that goal!
