In August 2023, Voens completed a significant project: the installation of a 50 m³/h water treatment plant for a mining camp with a population of 5,400 people. This project was part of a comprehensive initiative to improve both wastewater and drinking water treatment plants, replacing outdated equipment with cutting-edge technologies. The solution provided had to not only meet the stringent regulations of the mining sector but also satisfy the client’s increasing demands for capacity and efficiency.
Design and Implementation
Voens designed the osmosis plant by dividing it into three containers, each with a specific function. One container was dedicated to water pretreatment; the second housed the osmosis plant for purification; and the third integrated the chemical dosing equipment provided by ITC. This dosing system is essential to ensure the water’s potability in compliance with the required standards.
Flexibility and Scalability
Initially, the plant was designed with a capacity of 30 m³/h. However, due to the system’s high quality and efficiency, the client requested an increase in capacity to 50 m³/h. ITC’s dosing equipment was able to adapt and scale to handle the increased production without compromising water quality.
