What was the main reason that led the company to decide to implement the ISO 14001:2015 standard?

We decided to implement the ISO 14001:2015 standard as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility. We wanted to ensure that we manage our environmental impacts effectively and demonstrate our commitment to the environment.

What was your role as the leader of the ISO 14001:2015 implementation project at ITC?

As the quality manager, my main role was to lead, coordinate, and supervise the entire ITC team. This involved establishing the action plan, assigning responsibilities, ensuring compliance with the standard requirements, and monitoring the overall progress of the project.

What were the biggest challenges you faced during the implementation process and how did you overcome them?

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the participation and commitment of all departments and employees. We also faced challenges in identifying and evaluating our significant environmental aspects and in effectively integrating the standard requirements into our existing processes.

What are the most significant benefits that the company has experienced since implementing the ISO 14001:2015 standard?

We have experienced a significant improvement in operational efficiency, a reduction in our environmental costs, and increased commitment and environmental awareness among our employees. Additionally, we have strengthened our reputation as a company committed to sustainability.

Were there any cultural or mindset changes within the organisation as a result of the standard’s implementation?
