The promotion of knowledge in the water sector is part of ITC’s DNA. For this reason, it is common for ITC staff to collaborate in the management of university internships and projects.
In this occasion, the Doctor in Chemistry Alberto Hernández and the Engineer Xavier Corbella, Commercial Manager and Technical Manager of ITC respectively, have done as co-directors of the Final Degree Project in Chemical Engineering of Engineer Andrea Codó.
The objective of this research tesis was to study the reaction to generate chlorine dioxide, one of the most popular disinfectants thanks to its great activity against multitude of microorganisms. Thanks to the results obtained, we can better understand which are the variables that influence the production of the gas.
