The traditional way to supply nutrients to plants is to distribute granulated slow release fertilizers directly to the ground.

However, modernized irrigation systems allow to supply fertilizers to plants by taking advantage of the existing irrigation network: this is Fertigation

In this way, both water and the nutrients the plant may need for its proper development, are provided together through the same drop of water.

Fertigation offers three significant benefits:

  • Increases the productive yield of the crop with no machinery impact on it.
  • Reduces operating costs for the chemical products application.
  • Minimizes the environmental impact in the aquifer by fertilizers leaching.

To achieve all these benefits it is required precise application systems, as well as the knowledge and training of technicians and farmers.
